positivity

I like to read, but most of the time, the things you get to read in papers are news that knocks your day of course. if you get my drift... I never got used to reading news papers. I've been browsing a lot of blogs lately. I like to read stuffs that actually make you feel good. blogs that embraces a life that, most of the time, people take for granted. sadly though, not a lot of blogs celebrate life. it's usually gothic and dark... I have nothing agianst goth or darkness. in fact, I use to see the world in that same dark and mysterious place. I used to think it was too cool to sob on the worthlessness of everything my life could offer. sooner or later though, an uncle introduced me to his friend, the real world. I found out two months later that the world I had trapped myself in was much like what was out there. everything sucks.

that got me thinking. is everything in this world really that depressing? children running around on the filthy streets of what used to be a beautiful haven, clenched fists of two grown men who used to be friends, shotgun shells resting on the floor of the gutter in hopes that it won't be used again, a blood-stained rim and hood of brand new luxury car...

no... it's not that bad... in fact, it's beautiful... kids waking up every morning and running around the streets naked, poor, but glad to be alive and glad to have the family they had... clenched fists of two grown men open up to accept the hand shake of a friend they bought missed... shotgun shells that lay on the gutter that was fired as a warning shot to ward off an assailant... a blood hood of a luxury car that was used to deliver a dying man to hospital to be saved...

life is not all bad... sometimes you just need to see the better of it... don't wish to die because of a love life gone waste... rejoice to the memory of a love shared... don't wish to crumble at stress... marvel at the joys that the friend's effort to help... wake up and appreciate the sun shine... move up to the ladder of life and see the glamour that it provides... good home... good family... good friends... and finally... a silent, solitary room in your essence that contains the thing that makes you love, that makes you cry, that makes you smile...
